Basement under garden house - procedure?

How did you secure the deep hole during the excavation/concreting? What kind of "roof on top"? Can we see pictures?

Hello Steffi33 First I had to underpin the foundations of my basement. That was quite a bit of manual work. Then I excavated 130 m³ of soil. All done by myself. With a dumper, a lot of muscle power, and 13 times 10 m³ containers. The estimate from a contractor was 86,000 euros. I managed the whole thing for just under 13,000 euros including the building permit. OK, you have to see it as a hobby. The excavation pit has to be secured. I worked in concrete section by section. The rest with formwork panels and beams. It all went pretty smoothly. And the advantage: the abdominal muscles get trained. Steven

Hello Steffi33 Regarding the iron: More is better. You should have some knowledge. Formwork, then work in plenty of iron and 20cm of concrete on top. That will hold. I have to check for pictures. Steven
