Could be "normal" prices - get a second offer, that will help you more than if everyone here tells you what they paid....

700 tons of gravel 0/32? 700? But the price is right. We paid just under 500 for 20t of recycled gravel, including installation and compaction. Saxony-Anhalt. Scaled to 700 tons, that's 17,500 EUR. You need fresh gravel, which is more expensive, plus it also depends on the delivery distance, so how long it is. 700 tons, that's 30, 35 trucks. And Bavaria is Bavaria, so more expensive. KG pipe also fits, here it was 45 EUR/m², delivery and installation DN100.

I found the total sum shocking, but calculated per item/unit price it is okay. Roughly like my prices two years ago, so rather even cheap. The 700 tons I also find crazy.

700 tons of gravel fit well with 400 cubic meters of excavation. I think there is a certain slope here that is now being leveled with a large amount of gravel. €35 net per ton of gravel seems like a steep price to me, the gravel plant probably charges only half of that with delivery free to the construction site.

But 500 cubic meters of topsoil seems a bit much to me. We're talking about approximately 1500 sqm of area to be worked on.

I think it's crazy that the amount is half of my house price, the standard earthworks were included.
