Some pictures show the slope of the property. A house with a flat roof and 2 floors (presumably a slight staggered floor) shows that not even a gable roof can necessarily be required. There are certainly possibilities. I can confirm that the building authority likes to see the entire building.
What is your dream house? You already have a proposal from the contractor.
The dream house is a 10x12m house with a gable roof (since south orientation is okay for photovoltaics). The dream would be with a developed attic, but the height will probably thwart that plan. Additionally, we would like a knee wall of 140+ cm (or at least 120 cm), and the floor plan for the first floor really depends on that issue. The construction company initially planned with 80 cm (actually only 60 cm if the room height downstairs is 270 cm), since those seem unproblematic. But here I would be willing to fight for every centimeter.
