Are discounts on offers common?

Hi

I always wonder how economically more than 2 - 3% cash discount on a properly calculated offer is possible.
The often demanded discounts of up to 10% always disappear from my gross margin/contribution margin and not from the offer amount. For example offer amount 50,000€ contribution margin 8,000€ discount 8% = 4,000€
I would have to execute an equivalent order twice to achieve the same revenue.

I didn’t want to say anything else. When it comes to an architect, those in the know understand, and every craftsman knows that he has to relent somewhere... otherwise the architect would also look foolish in front of his client.

Therefore, this should be the normal case with an architect.

Not necessarily in the case of own individual awarding...

Morning

I would replace final price with product/service.

In the last and also in the current construction, I did not renegotiate the price and asked twice about a cash discount.
All offers were within what I had planned, and that was fine for me.
