You do not have to be fully authorized to submit building plans to sign off on the simpler matters (in BY building classes 1-3 up to 3 apartments, in BW one full floor up to 150 m2). It is sufficient if you are a certified technician in the field of structural engineering or a master craftsman.

To my knowledge, a self-employed architect is compulsorily a member of their chamber – as an employee or civil servant, no. I believe an engineer is not in any such role either; without a qualification (degree or diploma) even a student can probably call themselves that.

Yep. Only then is he allowed to call himself an architect. Otherwise, he is a draftsman with architectural studies ;)

Wasn't there something... When a certain age is reached, you are sorted out by the chamber and then protections/insurances are missing? I think there was something else. Does anyone know more precisely?

In my case, it was resolved anyway, it was due to the poor search function of the chamber's website.

What is the "Insch" doing here? What he is allowed to call himself is stated on the diploma/certificate. Back to the topic.
