Alternative to tile backsplash?

We also decided on colored glass including cutouts for sockets. Gives a nice high-quality and modern impression.

Some pictures would be nice. :)

At that time, instead of the - for me totally old-fashioned tiled backsplash - I had a panel made from the same material as my kitchen fronts cut and glued behind the stove.

wipeable wallpaper, clear varnish over wall paint, textured plaster, clinker slips, natural stone imitation, paneling, blackboard paint...

Glass is also great. A pane of textured frosted glass. But it’s not exactly cheap either.

We have half glass (at the stove) and otherwise niche backsplash each in front color

The backsplash would be delivered later or chosen by us than the kitchen.

What I would have also liked is the wall color but as a real backsplash. Unfortunately, that is not a RAL color.

Sometimes I am a bit clumsy, so I definitely wanted a backsplash as high as the two wall cabinets (also in the sink area).

We have a wooden board behind the stove. Works great! A glass plate wouldn't have worked for us, as every dirt and streak would be visible due to the light incidence.
