The kitchen backsplashes from the companies have never really appealed to us so far. The countertop as a backsplash is a suitable alternative but must fit visually. Executing the countertop only 30-40cm high or half-height is visually okay, but I think it creates a really nasty grease-dust edge that is a pain to clean. Therefore, we had agreed on a tile backsplash, which also wouldn’t be particularly easy to clean. Now, we have retroactively included a backsplash decor in the kitchen, full height and a glass panel above the stove (fortunately, there was recently a new decor that we do like, now also seen live in the studio). I consider it advisable to look at the chosen option live in the kitchen studio or possibly at the manufacturer; it never looks quite right in the catalog and always appears different in reality. In principle, backsplashes from other manufacturers can also be used. Another advantage of the backsplashes is the fairly narrow finishing strip. Unfortunately, many providers now only offer those large bulky finishing strips measuring 3-4cm. But there are also kitchen suppliers with narrow strips. Here you would have to source them externally again.
