Alarm system with 2 cats - Technical upgrade experiences?

In private houses, usually "only" RC2N or at most RC2 is installed.

I wish that for you, but in one friend's case, both large dogs were killed by the burglars. And that's not the first case I know of. I believe burglars are as little deterred by dogs as car thieves. For the guys who work scrupulously and professionally, that's everyday business.

For this kind of burglars, there are practically no protection measures that make sense for normal people... RC3 doesn't help at all, just like an alarm system...

And if such criminal people come into my house while I am sleeping... Well, at least the dog wakes us up and I won’t be strangled in my sleep ;) but such scenarios are very unlikely... The ordinary opportunistic thief is just deterred by the dog.

I don't think we really need to fear those professional burglars who can get in anywhere. We don't have anything valuable. They only break in if it's worth it, I think.

But this roaming gang of thieves that goes from house to house and then goes back home to Romania after a week, I would definitely like to put a stop to them, quite literally.

Dogs simply bring nothing at all. Every burglar has pockets full of treats or fresh hunting sausage. Even if dog owners don't like to admit or acknowledge it: every dog is so bribeable.

Our dog is not bribeable and very suspicious of strangers, he doesn't even take a treat from the vet although she speaks kindly to him, not all dogs are the same.

The large number of dogs are bribeable - that's really true. BUT: There are actually exceptions (including ours): A stranger has ZERO chance of giving treats to the dog. Definitely. A stranger doesn't even get onto our property. There is no better alarm system than our dog. And simply throwing treats or meat onto the property doesn't work with us either. That is ignored (which surprised us at first as well). I'll put it this way: As a stranger, I definitely wouldn't sneak onto our property....
