Our air-to-water heat pump with controlled residential ventilation, underfloor heating, and installation cost just about 30k. However, we upgraded to geothermal for 35k. BAFA funding 4,500. So for 500€ more, geothermal :D

Yes yes, that's where the money is made with the additions :)

With all due respect, the box costs somewhere between 7.5 and 8.5 k€ depending on the size. And that's not even at the lowest end of the scale. It's similar with the controlled residential ventilation.

And being off by 2 k€ credit for the gas cooker is just ridiculous. I would seriously be interested to know how he wants/wanted to prove the Energy Saving Ordinance 2016, or, since it's a BT, is the approval already that old?

According to the simplified procedure, a gas condensing boiler, the corresponding number of solar collectors according to the standard, and a ventilation system with heat recovery are sufficient for KFW55. Additionally, the insulation standards must be met. So KFW55 does not fail due to gas condensing boiler, solar, and controlled residential ventilation.

Thank you for the many interesting answers ...

I am still torn about whether to choose an air-water heat pump or not. It's 11,900 EUR in additional costs that I have to invest here if I get a 2,000 EUR credit and save 2,000 EUR on the gas connection.

That means I would have to save 11,900 EUR in costs over the next 20 years compared to gas for this to be worthwhile if I am correct???? Is that realistic? (600 EUR p.a. average saving per year???)

Can I still apply for the BAFA-Förderung additionally to the KFW55-Darlehen 153?

Yes, but it must be submitted to BAFA before signing the contract.

No, not at all. A monthly saving is in the low double-digit range (10-40€). Of course, you could offset the BAFA subsidy to make it look less expensive. There are already threads in this forum where relatively detailed calculations on the subject have been made. Depending on the calculation and individual situation, the results varied greatly. The general opinion, however, is that more insulation or more expensive technology does not pay off for many.
