Hello,
How satisfied are your customers with the air-water heat pump? I am just a little afraid of having to heat mostly with electricity.
We have been installing this heat generator for about 10 years. Since people tend more to express negative opinions, I may safely assume that everyone who has bought an air-water heat pump is satisfied.
I can well understand your fear; the internet is full of reports on all sorts of advantages and disadvantages. You might want to plan a visit to an energy agency near you; they will be able to relieve your concerns. Also, no bias can be accused of this agency.
Yesterday I found an article online that said the heating element should only be used from -20 degrees. But I have heard other values that go from -2 to -15 degrees. What is correct now?
Regarding operating costs – because that is what it ultimately is about – the Association of Private Homeowners writes on its website, for example:
"The amortization of the heat pump depends on the individual case, a comparison: 'With a heating load of 10 kilowatts, the air-water heat pump costs around 13,000 euros, the operating costs are about 1,100 euros. By comparison, the gas condensing boiler costs about 4,500 euros with annual operating costs of 1,800 euros. The additional investment must be earned from the difference in heating costs of 700 euros per year. That means the system pays off after about twelve years, with interest on the additional investment not yet taken into account.'"
A brine/water heat pump as well as a water/water heat pump have lower operating costs; however, the initial investment is higher. So if electricity costs rise sharply, choosing the heat pump was the wrong decision.
Rhenish regards
