Air-Water Heat Pump - Experiences

A friend of mine has a 7-year-old 160sqm house with an air-water heat pump (Nibe, Viebrockhaus Kfw 40, domestic hot water support with 2 solar panels) and consumes about 50,000 kWh per year including household electricity. So if I assume he uses 30,000 kWh for lighting/cooking/electrical appliances (4 people), only 20,000 is for heating. And the room temperatures are comfortable. Therefore, we are now building the same house with photovoltaics and are (for now) not worried about electricity consumption.

oO? 20000 kWh household electricity? You can run 230 10W LEDs all year round with that... so 24/7 (10 W * 8769 h / 1000 * 230) I also think something went wrong there Do you actually have everything on the household electricity meter or your own?

If that were the case, I would definitely decide against the air heat pump ) but I think there is at least one zero too many on it

The article was about an air-to-air heat pump and not an air-to-water heat pump, hence the heating coils in the supply air.
