A Nuki Smartlock on the front door can be nice

A possible solution would be a programming, such as an additional key combination like: press the button three times before going out, and Nuki will unlock again when reconnecting the Bluetooth device (after taking out the trash), even without having left the geofence.

Hmm, as I write this here, I have to say, the idea is actually great :cool:. Why didn’t I think of it earlier and suggest it to Nuki support long ago...

(Only annoying if the better half strolls by with their smartphone at that moment, although you could still pull out your phone then. Or Nuki remembers the phone present/connected when pressing three times...) Endless ideas :D.

To also leave a bit more critical feedback about Nuki. I almost jumped for joy when I heard that there would be a Nuki Smart Door version... I was super excited to have it integrated into the new front door of the new building.

I knew it would be more expensive, but since yesterday I’ve known it’s not for me, because eventually there’s a limit... The hardware alone costs €1,999 at Nuki, and the whole thing isn’t even installed yet. The partner network in my region is rather weakly developed, the nearest one is far away and "only" a carpentry shop that doesn’t even offer doors themselves (at least according to their homepage). I have to call them to find out how it works, but bringing the door there and then picking it up again is also somehow awkward. I had hoped they cooperate with well-known door manufacturers so that the effort and also the price would be manageable... Furthermore, according to Nuki’s homepage, it only works with wooden doors; I might even switch to it at a reasonable price, but the real desire is actually a door made of aluminum.
