4 weeks of work and only 1 internet connection, is a legal distinction possible?

Hi, I never said here that the tenant could not get their own connection:cool: The options are of course all available (RG11 + fiber optic + LAN from the residential unit to the technical room). Unfortunately, only Unitymedia or Vodafone are available in this development. Telekom considered the development too small! I just want to be able to offer the tenant (only if legally flawless) to use an existing internet connection right away (no telephony!). Telephony is often no longer desired anyway (mobile phone). For information: TV is via satellite dish on the roof, can be used but does not have to be. P.S.: I also see the whole thing somewhat from the aspect of "resource conservation"

Maybe I'm just thinking wrong, but in the OP's position I would install one LAN socket per rented residential unit. Exactly one IP address can be obtained through it. This way, the tenant can either bring a PC online, or simply connect their preferred router and do whatever they want behind it. Unfortunately, I don't understand what is meant by "separate all clients."

Currently planned is: The tenant finds a finished network (switch, router, WLAN). However, they themselves are “master” over the network including APs (so they can set the WLAN password themselves, etc.) Either they use the preconfigured installed router over the existing common connection, or they book their own Internet connection and then “just plug in.” As an option, they might then be able to book “packages” from me (our company or me as landlord), such as a NAS or other technical gadgets that I can’t think of at the moment?

Would be similar to my idea, only that he also gets provided with the (not necessary) router. But actually, this was about the legal side, which I, as mentioned above, see as rather uncritical.

Anyone who knows about technology definitely does not want such a solution. Those who have no idea want Vodafone's technician to do it and do not want to configure anything. The third group of people in between will always blame you when some crappy website doesn't work and will bother you at any time of day or night to fix the internet. Again: Don't put yourself through that.

These are "just normal" rented apartments, right? No furnished living or boarding house style? If it's a regular rental apartment, I wouldn't think twice about it or invest money. Administering that including the latent thought of all residents that their data doesn't just stay with them wouldn't be worth the fun for me. I've experienced a lot, but so far no one wanted something like that at all. If there are only provider x and y, then that's just how it is. I also ask during an apartment viewing what the internet situation is like. If it fits, it's OK; if it fails because of the provider, the apartment wasn't any good anyway.

And: Why should someone book a "NAS package" from you? Either they are so clueless that there is no need for a NAS at all, or they do it themselves - because they can. Why do you want to put yourself through something like that and also provide the service for it? You can be sure that you will be number one on speed dial whenever ANYTHING doesn't work - even if Netflix is just having a server outage.
