The slope says: with basement. Or here with hybrid basement / lower floor. So: use the basement - for everything that can be omitted from the upper floor area as a result (HAR / utility room, storage room, pantry). Completely omit garage, lantern consistently.

That’s why they should line up as vague cohabitants at the back when distributing the advantages - quite consistent with the naive logic of "less building volume in the attic equals a cheaper house".

It might be smarter to first specify the children and then the house

Only a man could say that! Just quickly have 2 kids - it can’t be that hard...

I was not talking about speed, but about order (instead of sequence)

I actually wanted to suggest that here as well (at least one of them ) – especially because having children sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as you imagine. Suddenly there are triplets or you can’t have any at all, both bad. And you already know the people you are sending to the basement and know whether you want to do that to the specific Mia-Sophie on the specific property.

Well, hasn't the property already been purchased?

Hello everyone I want to build a single-family house without a basement. Planned structure: -Gravel, compacted. Slope evened out with topsoil and gravel. -Styrodur (full thermal insulation) -Concrete slab 25 cm (without strip foundations) The house will be built on a slight slope. Slope across the house width (10 m) approx. 90 cm. The first half of the house will stand on a level section, the slope begins in the second half. I have a bad feeling about the concrete slab. Can the compacted gravel eventually give way so that the ground/gravel under the house "floats away"? Or is compacted gravel sufficient/OK? Should strip foundations be used instead, or are there other ideas? Please share your opinions, possibly a suggestion on how to execute this better. Thank you Regards
