Hello, actually quite simple, I am asking you for opinions on the floor plan. The use of the rooms should actually be clear from the labels. At the moment, we have only drawn the furniture to scale "offline". I don’t want to write anything about our own ideas yet, because I would like to hear unbiased opinions on how the floor plan is received. Thank you!

About the residents: 2 adults (existing), 2 children (planned), >= 5 cats (existing)

Note: The insulation is added to the external dimension, the floor plan only shows the solid wall portion of the exterior wall.

Hello Chris,
Windows do not harmonize.
14 steps are not comfortably walkable.
Children’s rooms are poorly furnishable.
Wardrobe? Under the stairs?
Corridors seem too narrow to me.
Plan doors for Child 1 and parents the other way around, otherwise a lot of unused space behind doors... Why must one go from the office to the pantry? Technology, utility room AND pantry? Combine technology and utility room, then you can save the pointless door from the guest bathroom. Is that also supposed to serve as a children’s bathroom?
Don’t like the roof pitch.
There’s probably more...

Where is the south then? Where the large window areas are? Aren't there any nice west-facing windows at your place?

Hello, thanks for the feedback. Briefly to your questions:
- Actually, there are 15 steps, the program somehow calculates the ceiling strangely and "loses" one step. The plan is mine, I have to say, in the plan from the house construction company there are 15 steps.
- The wardrobe is planned under the stairs next to the office door, exactly.
- The utility room is a separate room because cats with access to the outdoor enclosure stay there. Cats are not supposed to be in the technical room. Of course, this is very special and you can't know that without me mentioning it.

Thanks for the note about door Child 1, I drew it the other way around than I thought.

There is a north arrow on the map, meaning the living room faces almost directly south. To the west, there are trees very close to the house that are much taller than the house, so having too many windows there doesn't make much sense. That's why there is only one living space (Child 1) on the west side, which at the same time has a nice south-facing window.
