Since containers are hardly in demand at the moment, it will definitely work.

You can also live in an old silo, completely without energy saving regulations on 14sqm... google "Silo Haus körbes", first result from taz.

That is exactly how my post was to be understood. Thanks for the support, Lastdrop.

As I already wrote in the course of the thread: If this is trolling, the moderators will notice.........

Hello, I know the Berliner Norden area a bit. How about the outskirts of Berlin? So somewhere outside. You could look around for a small plot there, right? Would that be something for you? Or a back plot? Like Lehnitz, Mühlenbecker Land, Glienicke, etc., from there you can quickly get back to Berlin-Norden or Hermsdorf, Frohnau. You can even download the development plan as a PDF file if you go directly to the municipality’s websites. Theoretically, it would also fit within your budget. Regards

that would be the alternative if it doesn’t work out here. but first I want to try it in Berlin. outside of Berlin you have to be careful because of the connections.. I don’t have a car and no monthly ticket either, I also hate driving and public transport I do everything by bike so it shouldn’t be too far. the 80 euros per month for the ticket should rather go towards the credit payment^^

Recommended: the "Container Atlas" / Handbook of Container Architecture, among others by the architect Han Slawik, who has been repurposing the freight container as a basic module for shell construction since the 1990s.

With all the visionary ideas, do not forget that construction takes place here in Germany. The Energy Saving Ordinance and the entire catalog of building and planning law requirements for a construction project must be taken into account. Even if you want to expand or add on gradually, the entire project must be thoroughly planned, applied for, and approved from the outset.

Shipping containers, especially the 40" containers, are offered new, but more often in damaged condition at low cost. Added to this are the not insignificant transport and assembly/foundation costs, provided that delivery of a 40" container is even possible at the respective location. If the mobile crane is used for a long period, it generally becomes expensive.

The entire expansion including the necessary insulation and building services should cost in the best case about €700 to €1,000/m2 NNF, with very low demands on the equipment. It can be cheaper with predominantly own labor extended over a long period.

Yes, I know that too (back then). But if you travel a lot by bike, you can easily make it from Glienicke to Frohnau in about 5 minutes. Riding a bike for an hour with a dog is just a short trip for you, right? It always depends on which place in Reinickendorf (large district) you mean. From Glienicke to Nordmeile (do you know it?) an experienced cyclist can make it in 20 minutes. The property prices are really high, except for Frohnau and Hermsdorf, where you pay just under 300K for about 300 sqm. Meanwhile, here you still pay almost half for the same size. Can you also imagine leased plots? Or a cabin where you can live year-round?
