Your opinion on our floor plan for a single-family house without a basement

well, 3.20-3.40 is already okay for eating. we currently have 2.7 (rental apartment), well that's quite tight with a 90cm table, but still manageable, 50-70cm more would be good. 4 meters would be more like a luxury, if possible of course it's nice, clearly

One wants to improve somewhat compared to a rental apartment. Moreover, this is not about a 120 bungalow and mind you, about the table length as marked! If you allow 2 good meters for a dining table, with chairs occupied on the left and right, we are at 3.40... here you would sit by the fireplace and I then don't see the 1.17 passage in front of the island. If, as here, the table is occupied by 6 people, the table would have to be moved further towards the top of the plan, then it would no longer be aligned with the island.
If you rotate the table, someone sits at the head end in the passage area, which is also not nice.

But: this dimension definitely is not enough for the stairs, or it will be a steep staircase.

There is a door in the guest room leading to the storage space under the stairs – however, it was not intended as a pantry. I admit that the usage is suboptimal, but at least better than nothing... Maybe a better solution will emerge if I follow these tips:

- Gast und HAR sollten die Plätze tauschen,
- HAR zu knapp, wenn da auch noch Wäsche rein soll

- Spielflur riesig im Verhältnis zu den anderen Räumen

Hm... I took the measurement from "Treppenmeister.com" something like this - actually thought it would fit. What measurements do I have to assume for a "normally" steep, quarter-turn staircase?

Windfang smaller than some in terraced houses. You won't be happy -> congestion when entering, congestion when receiving guests, congestion when storing clothes.

I probably spent too much time generating as little hallway space as possible that I lost sight of the hallway's purpose...

However, all this is still too immature -> a proper planning, sitting down with your written room program and wishes (an L-shape is more suitable for the open-plan area for privacy), reviewing the site plan and first roughly outlining the orientation of rooms on the property, in my opinion leads to a better result.

What don’t you like about the orientation? The children's rooms are in the south, just like the living-dining-cooking area which receives light from three sides. I have actually already considered that, which is why I’m now a bit more interested...
