Wood beam ceiling vs. concrete ceiling

Our ceiling construction is the same as Dirk's with the following thicknesses: 22cm beams, 2.4cm exposed boarding, 2x3.5cm insulation, 3cm tack foil, 7cm cement screed with underfloor heating, 1.5cm solid wood plank. Anyone who wants can now calculate.

By the way, we think our wooden beam ceiling is great. It is very easy to attach swings, lamps, hanging seats,...

Similar for us - but the bottom layer is a heavier gravel fill. So first pipes (electricity, water, ventilation) then fill , then foil, underfloor heating on top of that and then anhydrite screed. then seal it, tiles on top, elsewhere parquet on top, and the whole thing is not any thinner than a concrete ceiling.
