Depending on the device, these do not fit into a dishwasher. However, it is also not recommended. Blowing out with compressed air and using an industrial vacuum works quite well. There are also filters from third-party manufacturers that are usually significantly cheaper.

So with my manufacturer it is recommended to vacuum twice and then replace (the device shows the filter every 3 months). But it is just a replaceable filter fleece. Of course, you can buy it from the manufacturer or as a roll and cut it yourself.
Whether or not to ventilate is not a consideration for me after 1 year at all.
For me, it is not relaxing to walk 3 times daily over 2 floors plus the basement and first open everything up and then close everything again 15 minutes later.
Additionally, the procedure after every shower. But that applies to me. Others find that relaxing.
By the way, you can also simply use the search, the questions get discussed here quarterly.

Just a technical question: Does it make sense to install a controlled residential ventilation system only for the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and basement but to leave out the bedroom/children's room? It might bother me at night there. Or can it be turned off "room by room" at night? GD

No way. Especially in the bedroom, air quality is very important and deteriorates very quickly. Turning it off is also counterproductive. A well-designed controlled residential ventilation system is almost inaudible at a low setting. Therefore, plan for a higher air flow rate in bedrooms.

I always compare controlled residential ventilation to my cooking kitchen machine from Vorwerk: "Those who don't know it are usually against it!" I don't want to do without either anymore. And now please no off-topic discussion about "I can cook etc...." I can also ventilate, but still have a comfortable helper for it. ;-)

We live in a renovated old building apartment, into which plastic windows and a single ventilation unit in the bedroom were subsequently installed. That means ventilation is actually extremely important to us and we even received a ventilation manual when signing the rental contract. The ventilation unit initially ran at level 1, as described in the manual, and annoyed us enormously. Meanwhile, it runs permanently at level 2 and we no longer notice it. And the device is definitely louder than a controlled residential ventilation system. We also love, especially on days like last week, to throw open all the windows and let spring into the house. Especially when working from home, airing out three times a day works excellently. In everyday life, however, it is more like this: no one ventilates in the morning because everyone rushes out of the house quickly, no one is home at noon, and in the evening no one feels like having cold air come in anymore. That is why we also wish for a controlled residential ventilation system for our project. We have many friends/relatives with controlled residential ventilation in new buildings and everyone loves the system. Also because it doesn’t cause as much dust.
