Better to compare, look, and inform yourself longer. Cheap can be cheap, but expensive can be too. Who says the competitor isn't selling the same house for 10,000 euros less anyway. If you're unlucky, the esteemed house seller still has to quickly meet his annual quota and tries everything at any cost (even at your expense). Maybe he's right, of course, and you already have the perfect offer - but that's rather unlikely.

Addendum to our experience with the company... were there again yesterday. We had stated our wishes at the previous appointment. He wanted to prepare and show us something. This is how it turned out yesterday: He showed us two bungalows with the floor plans from the company homepage and said... well, you can change all that anyway. We already knew that. Then he printed out the contract for us, with another company as the contracting party, and wanted to schedule the next appointment with us regarding financing. Well... we are out, and the company is done for us. We do not feel well taken care of there. Of course, I did read through the contract after all and found it to be... hmm... a bad joke. We are still in contact with other companies, let's see...

What surprised me at the end of the conversation was that he absolutely wanted to have documents for a possible financing immediately and explained to us that we should sign this year (there is a withdrawal clause), because prices will rise everywhere next year and we would have to pay about 4000-5000 euros more then.

Hello everyone first of all :) I have now registered here specifically because in a conversation with an Allkauf house agent I was told exactly the same thing! Sign this year because next year, due to a construction change on the roof, prices would increase by at least €10,000 per house. He wanted to schedule an appointment immediately and of course he only had 2 appointments left this year, so he pressured me to choose one of those appointments. Ideally, he would have liked me to sign on the spot!

I don't know what your roofs cost, but our very elaborate flat roof cost 18,000 EUR. A normal gabled roof would probably have cost around 12-14,000 EUR. What exactly is supposed to make a roof price go up by 10,000 EUR? Rafters made of gold?

It was generally my first conversation and I will certainly not accept this offer. I need to get informed elsewhere now. The offer is huge.
