Lawyer in the family. And once again it shows, you don't do business within the family. No matter how much you love each other.

And what does the number listed in the construction performance description look like on the color chart? There isn’t even a foil manufacturer listed. If you enter the number, it is either smooth or rough depending on the manufacturer. You will also have a hard time with a lawyer. How much does it cost to re-foil the windows? (not that this is cheaper than a lawyer, legal dispute, and uncertain outcome)

It doesn't matter, I don't assume that the OP has anything in writing. Can profiles be economically foiled on site after installation? I never signed my order confirmation myself. But for me everything was recorded in detail in the offer.

Our window installer also applies film on site if necessary. Naturally more expensive than in the workshop. Let's say a moderate, four-figure amount. Much more serious is the shape of the profile. That is a total loss.

Sounds like enrichment within the family circle and by that I don’t mean the OP. Bought online in Poland and then sold to the grandchild more expensive than in DE. Have them show you the order confirmation/invoice! You should have an invoice. My window maker handed me the service description/certificates of the windows.

The RAL color chart is only a rough guide, nothing more. There are differences in gloss level, surface texture, coating process, color manufacturer, ... If you want something special, always request an original sample and then commission that. It is similar with the profile. If there is no sample, at least there is a datasheet where you can see the profile cross-section.

Whether you can make any claims simply depends on what you have commissioned. If it only states plastic, triple glazed, anthracite, then he can choose anything on the market as long as the required parameters are met.
