No, it is not schadenfreude, I am just realistic!

People / builders decide on something. In this specific case, for individual contracting. And either you have the competence for it or not!

Every smartphone is researched more thoroughly than such investments.

Why didn’t the client go to a studio or to the window manufacturer and say, “Hey, great, show me the profile, what does it look like?”

You also get such samples to take to the construction site, can hold them against the light, etcetera.

Some people just need instructions for everything.

Very annoying, but you won't fix that without significant financial losses. You should have at least seen what you were ordering live or in the catalog beforehand. Unfortunately, this tip comes too late.

I also think you can forget about insurance (or your uncle). What was ordered was delivered. You also can’t really claim misadvice. After the conversation, you signed a written order and what is stated there applies. Bad luck. Sorry. Smooth films shine even more. That’s why hardly anyone uses them. They look artificial. Textured is common. Didn’t you have a sample of the film? The film was very important to us according to RAL and because of the profile shape, and we had samples for everything at home and looked at reference objects.

I wanted to settle it and now it says "I want my peace, I don't want to have anything to do with it" and threatens to move to Thailand with his wife! uh and now?

We have a color chart and he said these are exactly the windows we want. Now the shape and structure are completely different. We will probably hire a lawyer, I think!

A lawyer will not necessarily help you, the question is exactly what you signed in the order. Everything else will then be difficult to prove. Could you possibly upload some pictures? At first it seems that you received DB 703 instead of RAL 7016. Although a smooth RAL 7016 also shines a lot, DB 703 (I have something similar myself) appears "flatter," as it only contains iron mica.
