Yes, and you don't give any relevant info. With the info I have, I say: Both are rubbish, the lesser rubbish is probably the variant with smaller windows.
And what would not be rubbish in your opinion then?
Unfortunately, I can't provide photos (yet). Of course, we want to do it properly but still as cheaply as possible. Therefore, I wanted to ask here roughly what I should budget for a reduction. You need a new window for that, need the mason, and probably have to replaster outside...
Something like that costs approximately 250-3500 euros. Jokes aside. No one can answer those questions for you because your information is not sufficient for that.
Raising the old window is cheaper, if it is possible. Therefore the question about the [Rollokasten] and photos. You can also leave the window frame in place and add an extension at the bottom and only order the smaller sash new. In my opinion, that is at least the least amount of work. The window maker will take care of that.

Exactly, those were the 2 options that come to mind.
I had hoped to learn approximately what a) adding an extension costs (then you would have to add about 15cm to the window – if that is correctly expressed) and b) a new window, masonry, and plastering.
