Window in the kitchen is too low - how to change it?

Does the window still need to be able to open? If not, bring the countertop to your desired level and attach a "fake" strip on the inside of the window. Beforehand, tape off the covered area of the window (dark foil or similar) so that it does not look strange from the outside. By the way, our working height is 86 cm.. that is completely sufficient for us.

No, the window does not necessarily have to be opened; the working height of course depends on body height. What suits you might be different from what suits us.

Personally, I find this solution more visually "botched" - excuse the expression...

And I would actually be interested in the kitchen planning. There are rooms where it is inevitably necessary to lead the kitchen past the window. However, there are also rooms where you can completely check outside the usual 0815 planning what is possible without adjusting the window.
