Of course, there are always positive and negative experiences. But this is the case with every construction company. Where we currently live, a well-known regional construction company built the shell, and more than enough mistakes were found. I believe no company builds completely "error-free."

We want to start building (applications) in 2023. We already have the building plot. Currently, I have planned to obtain the construction service descriptions from various solid construction general contractors in 2021 to later have a comparison (impression). Although we have thought about how it should look later, since we have replanned so often this year, the current version is certainly not going to be the final one. In my opinion, you can completely skip a comparison between TC and Viebrockhaus, as the as a comparison is worthless, only serving as a self-test to find out what type of customer you actually are. You will only ever be happy with either TC or Viebrockhaus. Apart from the fact that Viebrockhaus, to my knowledge, always operates as a general contractor itself, TC is a marketing brand behind which regionally very different independent franchise partners stand. Therefore, I would rather compare TC to Heinz von Heiden, and as a competitor comparison for Viebrockhaus, GUSSEK is suitable. TC vs. Viebrockhaus is thus more of a textbook example of a "lame comparison." Similarly, if you feel like looking beyond the fence between "solid" and "prefab," you should look further from TC / Heinz von Heiden to Scanhaus Marlow Marlow / Danwood, and from Viebrockhaus / Gussek rather to Weberhaus, Bien-Zenker, or the like. So even here, on one hand the minivan and on the other hand the convertible are always a lame comparison, and you’re better off staying “within one league” for a meaningful market cross-section. Standing in front of a tennis table with a hockey stick just looks stupid (in case anyone doesn’t find the image comparison clear enough).

We basically wanted to hear whether people here in OWL have experience with Town & Country, gladly also, as you mentioned, Heinz von Heiden, or of course Favorithaus, Viebrockhaus and Gussek Haus.
But that should not mean in principle that we will not inquire with the local companies.
It was only about experiences, not about comparisons. Of course, these are completely different things. :)

Even if so, it probably won't help you. Minden, Herford, Bielefeld, Gütersloh – all have different licensees and are therefore to be evaluated independently of each other. You cannot transfer experiences with a licensee in Minden to Gütersloh.

The same presumably applies to Viebrockhaus and Co.
