Ok, so either we try again with a lot of force and a new masonry drill bit or we get a rotary hammer with a hammer attachment. Attaching a hammer attachment to our hammer drill doesn’t work, right?

First, buy yourself a decent drill. The drill set you used was probably cheap, but it's rubbish.

Best to get a four-edged concrete drill bit from Hilti or another high-quality manufacturer. It might cost 10-12 euros, but it lasts three times as long. Everything else is simply no fun and won't get you anywhere.

They all have SDS shanks, but if necessary you can also put it in a normal chuck of a hammer drill. Without a decent drill bit, the best drill is useless to you.

You only need a 6mm drill bit, maybe 8mm, for a lamp fixture.

That was a set from Bosch. I thought it was good quality. But then I'll take a look at what you recommended, thanks.

When you drill, please use only reduced speed. If you spin too fast, the drill will overheat and then it will be ruined. So always drill nice and slow.

The drill bits are completely fine. As several have already said, it depends on the impact when drilling into concrete. A cordless screwdriver or something similar that only vibrates a little is not sufficient. What kind of machine did you use for drilling? Ah, and of course, when drilling into reinforced concrete, you can sometimes hit steel. Then you have to carefully consider whether you really want to go through it.

An easy impact 550 (see photo) The drill bit has actually already become a bit blackened from drilling on the first floor. (I also took a photo here.)
