What wood color is suitable for the floor with a beech staircase?

Yes, we definitely want to install laminate/vinyl there because it can be laid floating and we can do it ourselves.

Tiles are not an option for us.

I like the dark wood tone I posted the most. (dark wood with a gray shimmer)

But we will make sure that the floor is not too similar to the staircase; there should definitely be a clear contrast.
What would you say about pictures 1+2? Are they already too similar to the staircase?

My problem with the two samples would be that the beech is warm and reddish and the vinyl samples are cool-toned. To my eyes, that clashes badly, especially when different textures are added. I would ask for a sample wood from the staircase and take it with me when visiting the stores. Maybe then more towards ash whitewashed.

I think the floor should be inexpensive and therefore installed by oneself. Therefore, no parquet or tiles.

I would say we are getting the standard beech.
The stair steps are lacquered

Honestly? I have no words for this beech color. That was a thing when white tiles were super trendy. It has a kind of Diakonie nursing home style...

However, these beech steps are included in almost all standard construction specification descriptions, including ours.
We had them stained before lacquering. Ours are now chocolate-nougat. Black/ivory was not available at the long-established stair company. If a wooden floor or any kind of wooden furniture is absolutely planned, I would suggest asking about stain ;)
