Well, and don't forget all cans that only receive the bus cable.

Thank you!
I've been thinking about automating the mailbox for quite some time. My wife says I'm crazy, but her daily question about whether I've already checked the mailbox annoys me ^^

The only problem is that at the time of the ELT rough installation, we didn't know where we wanted to put the mailbox.
Now, I have neither KNX nor power there. So it has to be a battery solution.

Well, then for example with EnOcean you don't need batteries.

Hehe, I know that feeling too...

You don't need KNX for that, an IT specialist is enough

What useful wireless solutions are there? I'd be interested in that too.

There are no ready-made solutions; you have to do it yourself. But actually, it is a pretty simple matter. Just two contacts. Which wireless standard you use for that is more or less irrelevant.

I was more generally concerned with wireless solutions. As mentioned before in the thread, I had no chance to pull KNX cables. Basically, I want to get started with a few smart things, primarily shading and some monitoring. But I haven't had time yet to look into which wireless solutions would fit and especially which shelf would be suitable for a home server.
