What is a sensible house construction planning process?

I think you can say, for example: "I definitely don't want something unusual, like a bungalow, a city villa, or Bauhaus." Then I look for a plot where this is allowed. But having a floor plan before the plot doesn't really help (precisely because every plot has a different orientation, driveways need to be located in different places, and so on). I also put together my own floor plans because it’s fun, but with regard to the house that will ultimately be built, it only helps to a certain extent; it helps to clarify many things. For example, how large rooms should be or how rooms should be positioned relative to each other. But in the end, the house must be adapted to the plot, not the other way around.

Matching each other has no direction: one to the other as the other to the one, both equally and at the same time. But you have to start with one of the two, and everyone starts with what has the higher priority for them. If I want a specific location, the number of plots in the preferred cardinal direction for development is limited. Depending on where you make the bigger compromises, more or less is possible in the other area. I consider it futile to look for a universally valid answer to what must be milled first. People are too different for that.

This is the development plan of the currently targeted residential area, the plot is still relatively freely selectable... And those at the top right with the slope are rather excluded, we tend towards the lower part... We have meanwhile canceled the basement and want one more room in the attic instead, since living space is significantly cheaper in relation than a basement, prices of 80-100k are estimated here in the area and that is too much for us just for storage space...

I would consider 2832/4 or /5. The contour lines are still manageable; there is mining everywhere there anyway. To the west and southwest, a terrace behind the house is possible, not towards the street. You have no problems with rainwater. Your land slopes downhill, so you will naturally get rid of it well. The plots are okay on average and have a sufficient size to still be considered land. No one builds above you and casts shadows on you.
