What do you think about a laundry chute?

He is practical,

on the other hand, it's once again a bit less movement that one gets in daily life. Just like elevators, escalators, etc. Practical but a bit of movement doesn't hurt either.

Don't take it too seriously

I also think the idea is great: but - does the laundry then automatically fly sorted into the washing machine? What if the son/daughter pushes large/bulky items in there and it clogs? The noise and temperature differences between the basement and the attic need to be considered. Nice. But personally, I get more out of the central vacuum cleaner than from the laundry chute.
