Maybe the easier way is to inquire about the various positions during a second contact. Missing communication from the customer/client, what is the reason for that?

I am not staying in the dark, I have no secrets in this regard, why should I. We currently live in Villingen-Schwenningen and have a building plot near Balingen. Therefore, the distance to Weberhaus is not too far. Our plot is almost completely flat, which is why we will also build with a slab foundation. We have been dealing with building for about three years now, and from the very beginning it was clear to us that we wanted to build with wood. At first, we thought a lot internally without "inquiries": where do we want to build? How do we want to build? We considered our space program, what we need for ourselves and looked at a few floor plans, etc.

We have already been to Weberhaus twice on their open house days, where we had our first contacts/conversations and thus established contact.

We have not only approached well-known names but have also been to a smaller regional company. Besides Weberhaus, we also had contact with Schwörerhaus, Weiss, Streif, and Keitel-Haus; we are also still in contact with Schwörerhaus and Weiss. We do not want to inquire any further, as we eventually run out of time for it as well. But at some point, the moment comes when only one can build the house, which you have to decide on, and currently our tendency is very clearly towards Weberhaus. And that is why the question regarding the mentioned point, as we were able to obtain that from all others through acquaintances, but unfortunately not from Weberhaus.

I would try to contact one or two "Weberhaus" customers directly. Perhaps your salesperson would be so kind as to share one or two customer recommendations with you? For example, we were invited to some house handovers by our home construction company. There we could speak directly with the builders and also discuss problems or similar issues. You could also bring up the topic of the "protocol" there. A good company offers such house inspections before the handover to the building family.

No matter the price range: the panels contain less wood than meat in some sausages or fruit in some juices. If I were a Weberhaus salesperson, you would have fully convinced me with this post to show you such reports anonymously. Such house inspection parties are regularly offered to my advisers, gladly also with me accompanying them. I cannot imagine a district representative who misses this opportunity. They know that this is often the drop that makes the willingness to sign overflow.

The regional house manufacturer we visited, for example, besides timber frame construction, also makes walls from solid wood, but that is a different price category. Therefore, "no matter the price range" and your statement do not quite fit. It actually gives the impression that you are a "stone upon stone" type when it comes to preferred building methods, and you tend to speak ill of timber construction with the sausage and juice comparison.

Why should we say that to a Weberhaus salesperson? What is the point of your statement in this regard here? We do not speak about Schwörerhaus when talking about Weberhaus and vice versa. I say this as information that we were able to look at all of these with acquaintances and unfortunately not with Weberhaus, because the known building families we know have unfortunately not built with Weberhaus. As if we would say that to Weberhaus or our sales consultant at Weberhaus. That is the only point here, nothing else, and that is why we are here and have politely asked if someone here would be willing to show us theirs (without contact details, address, etc.).

No one said you should tell the Weberhaus salesperson about their competitors or even name them. But just as politely as here, you can also ask the regional salesperson. For them, it’s daily business that their prospective customers are missing this last argument to sign, and they will gladly provide it to you. Why do you ask everyone except the one who would most like to fulfill your wish out of their own interest?

In my house-building roadmap, the open-minded decision between wood and stone is one of the most important points, and I always explicitly encourage my advisees here and in individual consultations not to rule out any building method from the start. Every building method has advantages, which can vary in each specific case, so one should determine individually for each project with what and with whom to build best. And I have nothing against wall panels in stone construction either. Nobody makes solid wood ones, "solid wood" is something different, but Weberhaus and Schwörerhaus (and to my knowledge Weiss as well) do not do that either. I consider timber frame panel construction to be a very worthwhile building method; only the eponymous building material does not feature nearly as dominantly as it does in customers’ minds. If you—feel free to keep that your secret—belong to the Weberhaus clientele, you can be satisfied with Weberhaus (or Schwörerhaus). I do not mention Weiss and Streif Haus in the same breath, and Keitel-Haus even less so (they have yet to convince in any project known to me). I often have projects where in the final round two first places are taken, mixed by a wood builder and a stone builder, and they are only decided in a tie-break.

One can only have such a remarkable opinion of mine if one has not yet dealt with my house-building roadmap and my contributions. I lead my advisees into their and not into my home (and mine wouldn't have to be a stony one either).
