Hello everyone,
this is about the way our house builder lets a waterproof basement be constructed. To be honest, I have never heard of this before and you can find relatively little about it online....and if you do, it is mostly for commercial/office buildings.
The method is called "fresh concrete composite foil" (FBVK #waterproof) with 2-layer exterior walls 20cm.
One level lower would be the "WU basement" with 2-layer exterior walls 24cm, joint sheet metal. Of course also cheaper (around €3,000).
The plan is to set up a study for me in the basement. Therefore, we would like it to be "properly sealed," preferably also without high humidity through WU concrete.
A soil survey is not yet available!
Do you know the first method? Have you had any experience with it or any other opinion about it?
It would also be interesting to know whether insulation is even possible if an "foil" adjoins the soil on the outside.
