and does the architect also have a plan for what will happen with the water in the future once your terrace is built?

Assigning blame is one thing, but you have to live in it... I would consider problem-solving as a separate goal alongside assigning blame.

That is why I am also asking how the construction of the terrace could or should look under these circumstances. Or is there no way around another drainage?

Hello Marchonisch

how high does the terrace structure need to be?
There are precisely fitting Styrodur boards that are manufactured according to the plan for your terrace. With the appropriate slope. Lay the boards and a waterproof barrier on top. The damage is then repaired.

Nope. The Flat Roof Guideline is freely accessible and binding. Check the slope. If it's too little, object. But it is clear.

What does the architect say?

Yes, that says nothing about who commissioned whom with what and whether he would have a chance in court.

Hello everyone,

to avoid opening a new thread on the same topic, I am bringing this one back to the top.

For me, water is practically standing on the garage all the time, since the drain is apparently a few centimeters above the lower edge of the slope plane due to technical reasons. The slope is probably only between 0.5 and 1%, but according to DIN there are no specifications here, only a guideline that can be followed or not (>2 better 5%).

Nevertheless, I see this as problematic, not only because maybe at some point the seal will give way, but also because in summer surely many mosquito larvae or other things will breed there.

The general contractor says he spoke with the roofer and he assures that this is not a problem. They also fill it up with gravel and that then displaces most of the water.

Well, the water still stands. Here is the construction in progress and how it looks finally with standing water:
