Under the sink, there is a regular drawer at the bottom, and a shorter one on top like in a washbasin cabinet. You can store whatever you want in it. (Putzlappen, Müllbeutel, Vorräte, Dosen...)
Residual waste with us is 20 liters. Another container for waste paper/paper is also that size. The container is emptied outside into the bin when it is full. 10 liters is the yellow sack, the contents of which are emptied into the large sack in the utility room. A leaky can or packaging then goes directly to the utility room. Waste glass also goes there directly.
For residual waste, we have a certainly somewhat unconventional solution. But as enthusiastic Denmark vacationers – and that for almost 30 years – we only have a Danish rubbish bag holder for 20-liter bags under the sink.
We collect old paper and Green Dot packaging in the pantry in appropriate containers, and green waste goes into the bin or the composter in the garden.
8l for yellow bag? Wow, I probably need to switch more to reusable... mine would probably be full after one day.
Yes indeed. Two-person household and a narrow cabinet, a wider or deeper sorter unfortunately wasn’t possible. Works perfectly! We try to avoid plastic as much as possible, but not excessively in the sense of bulk stores or anything like that. Fits well so far.
