Just now my Bosch Logixx 6 washing machine stopped working with error 08. That’s exactly what I needed! Does anyone happen to know the error? On the internet it says something about "No signal from the motor’s tachogenerator." If the motor is damaged – is it even worth calling a technician or should I just buy a new one? :(

There is no engine damage. A sensor is malfunctioning. I would try repair.

Are you sure? How do you know that?

Intuition.
No, an electric motor hardly ever breaks down. What does fail are the brushes, cheap wear parts. But the tachogenerator is supposed to give the electronics an impulse, let's say you set a spin, 800 rpm, because otherwise your blouses get so wrinkled, now this also has to be monitored so that the motor doesn't speed up to 1400, which it can.... in this range I suspect your 08.

Unplug the power cord for 1 minute
Plug it back in
Turn off the machine (if on)
Close the drum
Turn the program selector clockwise to 6 o'clock
Press and hold the spin speed button
Turn the program selector one step further to 7 o'clock
Release the spin speed button
The last error appears/blinks on the display
Turn the program selector to 8 o'clock and wait a moment
Then turn off the device.
It is possible that the electronics have hung, so perform the reset

The machine has not frozen. It responds to all commands. It just doesn't wash.
