Should not be an attack
That depends a bit... 42 cm of wall are generally already good - you will not have heat entering through the wall. Heat that still gets in will be stored somewhat better by the crumb cookie (Poroton)

.. yeah sure, but the topic of building physics is so extensive and so complicated, you can’t answer it in three sentences in a forum ... the whole new energy saving ordinance is nonsense anyway, politicians have cooked up something again that they have no idea about and have been fooled by the construction industry

Hi everyone, good discussion, ok, there was still the question about the Effizienzhaus 70, I think no one has addressed it yet:

That is a good goal and it can be quite well achieved with [42ger] walls without additional insulation. This also includes the roof, windows, and basement ceiling/floor slab, everywhere you should aim for U-values of 0.17 - 0.2, or windows max. 0.9 W/m2K. The heating should incorporate 15% renewable energies - ultimately you need someone to do an Energieeinsparverordnung calculation for your house to demonstrate the achieved level. Then you will know exactly which wall thickness and which stone is suitable for you. The Energieeinsparverordnung calculation is needed anyway for the funding and building application.

If you apply this year, you will still get the funding, the KfW has just announced that from April 2016 the Effizienzhaus 70 will disappear as a funding standard

Hello,

What a moody response in a forum – with that attitude you might as well save yourself from writing even half a sentence!

Btw. – the field "Erlernte / Ausübende Berufe" is mandatory to fill out during registration; even as a supposed "retiree" you surely once learned/performed a profession. Knowing this helps the questioning/reading users to assess your answers. Please complete it!

Rhenish regards
