Hello dear community,
I would like to ask for your opinion on the following "problem"
We are currently in the construction phase of our single-family house. All rooms, except the bathroom, WC, and utility room, are to be fitted with vinyl flooring.
My general contractor recommends a vinyl floor with at least 7 mm thickness because otherwise the screed has to be raised due to the height difference with the tiles.
However, my floor installer recommends taking vinyl with 4 mm thickness because from 4 mm upwards the vinyl is covered with some kind of coating that he personally does not recommend.
I tried to find out more via Google but just can't get any further and don't know how we should implement this :(
Raise the screed so that the 4 mm vinyl is flush with the tiles?
Take thicker vinyl to raise the screed to roughly the same level overall?
What do you think? Helppp
Best regards
