It is all subjective, it absolutely must be measured.
Especially in new buildings, the first year "feels like" the ventilation system brings very little. Everything smells and steams out. There is always a smell of furniture, glue, and other installed materials. On top of that, there is increased humidity.
A normal controlled residential ventilation system is not designed to eliminate odors and equalize temperature under new building conditions. In a steady state, it provides oxygen-rich air for the residents. That is its task. Otherwise, it would have to be designed to be many times stronger.
I would rather compare it to tilted ventilation vs. shock ventilation. Everyone knows the difference!
Only a PPM meter brings clarity.
