Hello everyone,

some questions have come up during my planning.
First of all, some info about what I have thought about. Overall, quite little space for the kitchen.
But first some pictures for info:

Kitchen planning

What you couldn’t enter in the kitchen planner is the split floor. The living room has dark grey tiles in the kitchen area on a width of 247cm and a length of 179cm. The entire rest has oak strip parquet.
The kitchen in my planning therefore extends a bit onto the parquet. The tile backsplash also stops there. Since this is behind the two half-high cabinets, it should not be visually a problem.

As a kitchen island I have thought about the Stenstorp island.

Fronts should all be Ringhult cream-colored.

Electrical appliances: induction: Mästerlig, because currently available with family discount for 299
oven: Realistisk
extractor hood: Uppdrag with recirculation
dishwasher: Rengöra or third-party appliance but that is probably not quite so easy with the fronts
fridge/freezer: Beko 6106

So now first my questions:

1) Countertop: Should be Karlby oak. It somehow has to bridge the corner, getting it cut seems difficult. Bauhaus, for example, cannot cut 63cm. Simply placing them next to each other would be the next and easiest idea, then seal with silicone? Or use the FIXA joint strip? But that also somehow looks cheap with the oak.
So I am uncertain about this.

2) Refrigerator: I would like a fridge with a bit more freezer space. The Beko RBI 6101 would actually fit well. It should then go into a 140cm tall cabinet. The fridge itself is 121cm high, so a bit of space would be wasted. But I don’t care. Door measurements 33x53cm freezer compartment on top and 78.5x53cm fridge compartment below. The doors should be able to open separately. Can I set the plinth height so that I get an 80cm door below and a 60cm door above? Or do I have to cut a big door myself? And are suitable sealings for cut edges included with the doors?

These are my two questions for now.
So I hope I have expressed myself somewhat clearly.

Maybe someone has a general recommendation for the kitchen planning.

Many thanks

Jens

Hello,

1) You need to know what your requirements are. You can also look for a carpenter who can make the corner joint.

2) Maybe it's a silly prejudice, but I wouldn't necessarily buy a Turkish refrigerator. In any case, I would look for test reports about Beko.
You can adjust the base plate to the appropriate height; if necessary, you would have to drill new holes because the hole spacing for METOD is relatively large at 5 cm. There is nothing for the doors. There is only

Hello Jens,
It's going to be a nice kitchen. We had our Ikea countertops cut to size by the carpenter. Including milling for the countertop connectors, which are available in every hardware store. It looks wonderful and wasn't really expensive.

Frank
