Okay, thanks for the tip. At least we have the option to install supply air and exhaust air in the attic. This would then also ensure a constant air exchange. Thank you very much for your answers! Now we know what still needs to be done.

So don't use silicone, that's rubbish. Get tape from Proclima. Then just reseal the connection. It's simple, quick, and 100% airtight. Tested for a lifespan of 100 years.

With controlled residential ventilation with humidity recovery, this could be problematic because the supply air is then warm and humid. So it is best to log and observe. It is the same for us; I have a wireless thermometer/outdoor sensor in the attic and currently ventilate through the window.

Thanks for the tip! We don’t have a moisture recovery system yet - but I can imagine that we will have to retrofit an enthalpy exchanger at some point. Do you have any experience regarding optimal temperature and humidity values for an unoccupied attic?

I have no experience with this. Mold develops at around 70%, but there is also a wood fungus or something similar, and I believe this appears already at 50%. You should definitely ventilate the attic properly, that is, with controlled residential ventilation. I would even consult an expert for this (probably doesn’t cost much money...). The gap between the purlin and the ring beam is usually sealed with a silicone-like compound. Tape probably won’t hold well on the concrete floor because of dust. The compound is actually applied during construction in the full or nearly full width under the purlin, not at the corner. The insulation of the roof still seems pointless to me overall; the effective insulation layer should be due to the ventilation from the upper floor? I am not sure.

Hello, I have the same problem with the drafts. My question is how did you seal it? Between the base plate and the [Fusspfete]...
