So to reduce costs, I actually think the idea of just putting offices (and possibly an extra storage room or something) in there isn’t so bad. (And I might also consider whether you can do without the conservatory connection or something like that). It’s then of course spatially more separated, but as an office I would personally find that okay (maybe even helpful). But I also can’t say how much of an issue that really is in the house itself.
How easy or not it is to meet the living space regulations with these things, I can’t say. (But somehow my head says "it can’t be that bad" for those who already bring proper insulation and so on, which I had at least partly seen as an option on the manufacturer’s site – but maybe I’m naive there)
