Knudzen's floor coverings salesperson strongly advised us against parquet and cork, even though he had them in the store.

Maybe, but parquet definitely doesn’t pose a problem. I’m currently working on it and have 3000 samples at home. And now I want parquet too, it’s simply nicer. And cork goes in the living room. [emoji3]

Here, parquet has been glued down on underfloor heating for 20 years. Simply great.

By the way, the biggest advantage of underfloor heating is the increased flexibility regarding furniture and room usage.

Radiators only get in the way.
