Under-cabinet lights - recommendation?

Hey,

I would like to install under-cabinet lights under the wall cabinets.

The kitchen is U-shaped. If you stand at the entrance of the U, there is a stretch of 1.55m to the left up to the corner and then continuing around the corner along the entire wall width of 3.10m, interrupted in between due to the recirculating hood, centered on this wall.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something good and inexpensive? Power outlets are located almost at the ceiling on the left and right of the 3.10m wall.

I also have a U-shaped kitchen and ordered the lighting integrated directly into the tall cabinets. LED lights, dimmable with a sensor. I definitely didn’t want another light or similar to have underneath. That was a very good decision, as soon as it gets a bit darker, I turn on the lighting.

RGB strips naked or integrated into the profile or simply screwed/glued underneath are state of the art.

Or is it specifically about lights to be built underneath with replaceable light sources?

Yes, possibly something like that using Philips Hue Strips. Probably then with two strips, the left side up to the hood and the right side up to the hood... then lay the cables behind the wall cabinets up to the sockets.

I'm at a similar stage as you. I'm planning to use the light strip from Ikea (e.g. Omlopp) and integrate it via TRÅDFRI for remote control.

In my kitchen, I have planned the Irsta lights from Ikea. I really like them.
