Towel radiator necessary or dispensable?

A bit off-topic... but this is what my solution looks like: HT heaters are connected to a separate supply line (7x degrees) and have no thermostats and no heating cartridge. Connection is made in the HKV via an actuator. Control planned via BUS: when humidity exceeds value x, HT radiators turn on and controlled residential ventilation turns off. After leaving the room or after time y, they turn off again and controlled residential ventilation turns back on. Underfloor heating is always kept at a minimum value using a screed sensor. Controlled residential ventilation ensures that it does not get too warm (my theory)

Regards, Steffen

We currently have underfloor heating in the bathroom. And an electric towel radiator.

Damp towels have been hanging there for at least 10 years (without turning it on to dry them); nowhere does anything rust.

Actually, the bathroom is not too cold (so not colder than the other rooms). But if you turn it on 15 minutes before bathing, there is a noticeably more pleasant warmth in the room.

Also, pre-warmed towels are really nice for drying off And our little one also likes it when he slips into the pre-warmed bathrobe.

So if you shower or bathe "hot," 21 degrees is quite cool.

So every time you were in the bathroom, the boiler heats up to a completely unreasonable 70 degrees?
There are definitely much better options. At least in new buildings.
Retrofitting is difficult. You just have to pay for luxury then.

Of course not. I already wrote..when a certain humidity level is reached. That's how I know if someone is showering. The 70 degrees are in the buffer anyway (combination for hot water AND heating).

So, do you need a towel radiator or not?
