We simply routed out the door frame at the top slightly so that a channel about 10 mm high and approximately 500 mm wide is created. And of course, no foam is applied there when installing the doors... . For us, that is completely sufficient.

He is located in Salzwedel, right in the middle of nowhere between Magdeburg and Hamburg. But he has a phone, no worries. We built near Nuremberg, delivery was not an issue. It is shipped by a freight company anyway.

No, something like that is not planned at the moment. Each room receives either supply or exhaust air. Only the hallway is currently not "ventilated." However, since in our floor plan the hallway in the basement, ground floor, and attic does not have doors separating the entrance area and the living/dining room with the kitchen, I think that is quite okay.

Isn't that visually very unsightly?

You don't see it at all (if you're not taller than the doors)

OK, now that you mention it ... why did you do that? So that you save supply/exhaust air ducts? Or does it have a deeper meaning?
