We want to tile as little surface area as possible in our bathroom. That’s the plan so far, but we’re stuck with the partition wall between the shower and the tub.
On the shower side and the front side of the drywall partition wall, it should be tiled up to 2.1 m high.
On the bathtub side, preferably only 1.2 m, just like in the rest of the tub area up to the door.

But how do you ensure that there isn’t an unsightly transition at the edge/corner of the drywall wall between the differently tiled heights and that everything is flush?

Are there specific techniques, profiles, etc.?
If necessary, attach a third drywall panel in the upper area on the bathtub side so that the wall is flush?

How have you solved this problem yourselves?
Or is it really easy and I’m just missing something?

Thanks for tips and advice.

There are corner profiles. Some handle it discreetly, others put every tile edge into an extra profile. Honestly, I didn't give it much thought back then, and this is what came out. Nothing about the corner bothers me, I just like it. This would be your corner too, just mirrored. There are pretty stainless steel profiles, but also so-called Jolly profiles. You will certainly find something there.

There are different solutions for this. Talk to your tiler and have them show you.

In case the profile in my photo is poorly represented: it is a stainless steel profile! :) If your wall goes up to the ceiling, tiling all the way to the top is better because of the moisture

Hello ,
it looks exactly like that when mirrored. Based on your photo, I can imagine it better. Have the tiles on the front edge flush with the wall, and then a profile at the bottom, as well as at the top on the bathtub side. That could work.
From the toilet, you can then see the small edge.... I have to think about how I like that.
Are the exposed edges of the tiles painted over or also plastered over on your side?
