Hello everyone,

I am currently thinking about how the bathroom in my new apartment should be tiled. Unfortunately, I am a bit unsure because I have chosen very large tiles. These are classic tiles in concrete look (wall: 120 x 60, floor 60 x 60) and wood look (120 x 30). Could you maybe give me some tips on the best and most sensible way to have the bathroom tiled? I have uploaded some pictures of my bathroom to show how I could imagine the tiles being laid. What do you think? I have tried to keep the tiles as large as possible so that I can still have something of the tile format. I hope you understand the drawings; at least I made an effort. I am particularly unsure about the wall side with the toilet.

I look forward to every opinion and hope for some nice suggestions :)

That is logically planned with the views, but none of the joints align. Our tiler planned for a long time before the surfaces were arranged and the floor joints connected to the joints of the walls.

Exactly that would be my thought as well. The joints in the earth should continue on the wall. With 60 and 120 it’s also doable.
Discuss that with your tiler.

I'll ask the heretical question: Why tiles on the wall outside the shower area?

I don't find accommodating floor movements super critical, if possible it's okay, but not so feasible here. However, the result at the washbasin would bother me. It's better to plan here so that there is no joint there, and if necessary, at least in the middle.

Hmm .. 3 different sizes, which all somehow include the 60 dimension, I find difficult.

I would consider using the 60x120 tiles vertically on the wall. In the previously ceiling-high areas, simply stop at 240 cm.

Letting the 120 and 2x60 transition precisely from floor to wall is difficult, since the 2x60 tiles still have a joint in between, which the 120 tile does not have.
The WC flush button should actually have some sort of center alignment. It can also be that a joint is centered in the WC flush button area.

What I don’t understand ... how is the shampoo shelf supposed to be realized?
