Tile patterns on bathroom walls

Aha. Ours advised us to do that. I start in the shower niche, which is always happily damp, and paint the remaining 50-70cm of wall up to the ceiling?

With us, the hairdresser did what WE wanted, not the other way around.
We don’t have the shower up to the ceiling either, but it ends at the top edge of the window because the window starts right next to it. In my opinion, that looks better, it’s a continuous line. And water from the shower has never reached the painted wall above (about 30 cm). The shower isn’t as high as in the drawing, but about 2 m here, and the water runs downwards.

Aha?! You read what you want to read. The good tiler tiles up to the ceiling in the shower, that’s what he did for us!
