How do I recognize a good tiler for large tiles?

I posted a job on My-Hammer, referring to large tiles, and then just waited to see who would respond. First, I checked reviews, although that's not a reliable indicator since nowhere does it say whether the tiles laid were large. So far, I have proactively contacted only two – the tiler who worked for an acquaintance, and earlier, according to my tile dealer, the best tiler for large tiles that he has among his customers.

I now have these two tilers in the shortlist, and next week, two more want to come by. In the end, I want to have three and then decide on one purely based on gut feeling. The price differences are around 200 EUR.

As I said – unfortunately, I don't know anyone in my circle of acquaintances except one who has experience with tilers for large tiles, so I had to take the more complicated route with the tiles. It was different with the parquet and went faster/easier.

I will upload pictures later of how the bathrooms currently look and how they are supposed to be tiled.

So, here are the pictures of the main and guest bathroom, including the "professional tile plan"

Working time is 7 to 10 working days, quotes range between 4,500 and 5,000 EUR including VAT, and include:
Priming walls and floors, sealing, building in the bathtub, and of course laying the tiles. Except for tiles and stainless steel profiles, all materials are included, such as adhesive, epoxy resin, etc.

Price-wise, this sounds fair to me, since there is quite a lot to do.

The tiles and mosaic are the model Maps of Cerim, from the manufacturer Florim.

You want to have large tiles installed in it? Then every other one has to be cut ...

When I saw the photos, I also thought. What is this supposed to be? Large tiles in these little chambers. Karsten

A tile makes an impression through its grout pattern. What the tiles are supposed to do with you? ... I ask myself that too...

I do think that nowadays you can also lay large-format tiles in small bathrooms. The fewer grout lines, the better.
