The tile prices have increased significantly, any suggestions?

I don’t know if this is helpful for you, but I will quote myself once and try to link in parallel: We received an offer for tiles on 26.11.21 and another new offer for the same tiles on 18.03.22. There is no price difference and the selected wall as well as floor tiles are available. (A small downside; I prefer glossy tiles to matte tiles, among other things because glossy tiles reflect light better, but currently mainly matte tiles are offered and installed. Also, there is not a very large selection of colorful tiles, at least in local specialty stores, of course online there is. Glossy is currently not in fashion.) And here is the announced attempt at linking, for practice for myself: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/baukosten-gehen-aktuell-durch-die-decke.38976/page-317#post-566899 : Did I do it right?

We also decided on a wood look, but chose the 20 x 120 format because, in our opinion, it comes close to the "plank wood look." The color is somewhat darker than originally desired, but to us it appears "warmer" than the alternatives. Unfortunately, it is matte again; glossy is currently not in fashion and we have to accept that in our selection.

The following tile will be laid throughout our entire house, including the utility room, bathrooms, and kitchen. In "real life" it looks more vibrant than in the photo.

That’s what I would do if the costs get out of control.

It really is lucky to have the same price from November 2021 to March 2021.

I also tend somewhat towards matte finish.

Apart from tiles, I now expect a certain increase in our construction costs, since our fixed price period will expire soon.

The link works Everything is fine. I would avoid smooth tiles.

Thank you. Regarding smooth tiles, I agree with you. The tiles we selected are rough, which is not clear in the photo. Or are you referring to my wish for glossy tiles, which I cannot fulfill due to lack of options?

Who is responsible for the delays that lead to the deadline expiring?
